I've been told on a few occasions that watching me make these is like watching a dance. In some respects, that's exactly how I treat it when I'm raking. On a deeper note, it's true to say there's music in the patterns. My breathing is in time with my step. My step is in time with the strokes of the rake. The rake is in time with the deep hum in my vocal chords and chest.
