LC 000 - Blown Away

The cover shot, 'Blown Away' is an extra special one. It marks the day when I gave The Lockdown Collection its name. It bares the figures 000 in the title to signify that it stands alone; a mascot of sorts. An ambassador for the collection, if you will.

At the time I captured it I was truly beginning to see the monumental challenge which lay ahead. It felt like nothing short of a gift.

The object is part of the seed casing from a coconut palm. At about 36 inches (91cm) long, it's one of the larger pieces in the collection. By that virtue, the photograph also covers a much broader portion of sand than in most.

Taken on the east end of Kite Beach, around 70% of the collection was captured within throwing distance of this shot.

It is my dream to have a physical shop one day and display all of my works in print. My wish is that this and a few of the others in the collection will go some way to helping reach my objective.
